About Sun City Peachtree
The 18-hole “Sun City” course at the Sun City Peachtree facility in Griffin, Georgia features 6,822 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 72.5 and it has a slope rating of 135 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Gary Stephenson, the Sun City golf course opened in 2008.& #160; ClubCorp USA, Inc. manages this facility, with Joe Matheny as the General Manager.
Sun City Peachtree features a sophisticated, lodge-style clubhouse that opened in the spring of 2009. With close to 15,000-square-feet of well-appointed space, including an expansive member dining and bar area that overlooks the course, as well as locker rooms and a fully-stocked Pro Shop, members and guests alike will find themselves comfortable and at home in the Sun City Peachtree clubhouse.
Regardless of the season, the expansive bar and dining facility offers a spectacular view of the golf course. This comfortable space can accommodates 150 guests and offers a wide variety of menu items for daily lunches. In addition to its normal daily hours, Sun City Peachtree also offers monthly trivia and bingo events, as well as twice-monthly themed dinners for the members.

Airport Road Park and Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park are two of the most popular and most used parks in the area. Airport Road Park features a unique 1/2 mile walking trail constructed of approximately 7,000 recycled tires. The park also provides a playground and commons area for people to enjoy nature at its best.
The Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park, named for a local resident who was an Olympic Gold Medalist in track, features wooded landscaping with a complex that holds soccer and baseball fields, paved walking trail, a 1/4 mile rubber walking track with a special needs playground, a lake and two picnic pavilions.
Three facilities have regulation indoor basketball courts, and there are adult softball fields, weight rooms, playground equipment, restrooms and concession stands at most of the recreational areas.
